So today we started a new day in a new room in the main building. Today's focus was on truthful theatre we want to create truthful theatre on stage because it makes the way you feel and move on stage seem real to the audience. We started the day off with a game called i don't believe you where we watched people act a scenario and then we got to shout at them.i think we got to play this game to show how really to be truthful on stage. From watching this i found out how to let emotions out on stage without being over dramatic. For example TJ was given the scenario of all his stuff being gone out of his room when he got home.AT first he didn't show the truth because he came in screaming this made it over dramatic but he then began to tone that down and show emotions on the face and not the voice this made it truthful.after a break we looked at the work of non verbal communication this is when in a performance the actors dot speak.I worked with my friend Marli and we created a scene where i had to sit her down and tell her she had cancer during the performance we had Lego house by Ed Sherran. I think that Sonia's performance was good because she really broke down into tears without sound. We then went on to looking at Stanislavski who was the creates of naturalistic performance.                                                                                                 Konstantin Stanislavski  was born 17th of january 1863 and was born in Moscow and died when he was 75 years old Stanislavski treated theatre-making as a serious endeavour, requiring dedication.

we went onto a piece of leahs monologue we looked at the subtext i canot show  my anitated pice of work as my scanner broke. a subtext is what the feelings behind the lines are and what emotions should be made with them.we worked on those because it gave us an insite of what leah would be feeling i think it really helped me because i realised during performing you always have to think about the back story and subtext of what your saying. i think truthful performance would be extra important to us because the play is for are age and  is all about friends which is a aily task we really have to go threw everyday of trust and friendship.

so as we came into the first lesson of the day people told us about their trip to watch bl actor  this was good for us to here because I didn't get to go so this gave me an incite to what the play was about. After after all questions and answers were done we moved on to getting into a group of 5 to make a one minuet play of what the hole DNA play was about. I believe we performed this to show an understanding of what the play is about and what the mostly important parts of the show were it really helped me as i got to work with people I haven't worked with before so all techniques were rubbing of on me to make an amazing group.Watching all these performances were showing us key aspects of the show eg the postman and what the plot was. after performing these to each other we disused about how the postman isn't seen but that makes it affect to the audience as it gives them a person to blame and suspicion. After this in the same groups we made what is called a role on the wall this is when you draw round a body shape and on the inside of the shape you would put their feelings and on outside what people thought about them.we made these because it made us dig deep into the script to find out about are character and how they feel. In this task i found out that the sign of rambling on might have not bin for attention but for nurture suggesting she didn't have a normal up bringing this helped us make a back story for the character.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1rLZfAfQLM this is listen by Beyonce i really think the lyrics speak Leigh language.
WE then moved on to making a scene of what our chosen character would be like before this story , this is called a back story. Its very important to know a back story because it lets you know how they feel and gives a taste of their life it really helps bring out real emotions.I really like TJ's group i think it gave an incite into phills life it wasn't what i was expecting it was effective because they made it ordinal i would of thought of phill being like that but after watching it i really did. At the end of the lesson we were asked a question are we a product of are environment my opinion would be yes as i was born  in countryside so i don't fell comfortable in the city it feels awkward but for someone who was born in city they might have the same opinion about the country side after this we were told to go to lunch.

set of question number 1

My first response to reading the script is that it will be an interesting piece to perform as it is set for our age  so trying to act and talk normal will challenge us.

I think the themes of the text are diseat  friendship and loyalty.

I'm looking forward to see how we can all mold into our characters in different ways.

the challenges as i have already said will be getting the right state of mind to pull this of but luckily we have many weeks to rehearse.

log book day 1

On the first day we are all excited to find out what we shall be performing in the coming terms. when we first entered the class as a big group we were told and showed how to make a blog as it would be our new log books this was new to most of us so i sat there and listened to everything they had to say we were then given homework to make our blog by that night and email the link to our chosen teacher. Our teacher then told us what show we would be doing our class got given DNA i was thinking it must have to be something about crime but i will come to that later. We went to diffrent class rooms to read threw the play after every scene we changed and discussed about the paes just read out.we didnt focus on body movements for characters and features we got to focus on the voice this really helped because it gave me an insite to what these people were like.We were stopped / interupted by 2012 Paralympics star Will Baley he was a former student at the brits and had a tv crew with him it was nice for us to meet him because it showed us that people do come out of this school doing diffrent jobs. just look at him he has got a bronze and silver medal hard to belive he use to do theatre but all i could consentrate on was a camera starng at me because the to people sitting next to me were speaking so i was sat in the middle of a direct camera view with my bright red hair (cant wait to see it on TV .) i really cant wait to get started on this place and was so exicited when coming out of the leson
